(July 11, 2025) — The Haddam Historical Society invites you to join in an evening of good food and great music on the grounds of the historic Thankful Arnold House Museum. The HHS Pig Roast will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In addition to the main dish, the menu will include sides of macaroni and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, cornbread, and homemade desserts to top off the meal. It’s BYOB, and lemonade and water will be available.

The Pig Roast will be picnic style, so bring chairs and blankets to feast and watch the music. There will be limited table seating. Lawn games will include cornhole, the graces and tavern puzzles. There also will be a summer-themed silent auction with grill and essentials carefully curated by our ingenious committee.
Entertainment will be provided between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. by “Mama Train,” a musical group that celebrates the spirit of the Jazz Age with rich female vocals and dynamic expressive piano. Inspired by early jazz and blues artists, they perform classics from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. Their soulful melodies and lively instrumentation combine to create a small act with a big vintage sound!
Music sponsored by David and Sue Costa.
