(August 4, 2024) — Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle accident at 11:40 p.m. on August 2, 2024.
A vehicle traveling southbound on Killingworth Road struck a utility pole in the northbound lane causing severe damage to the vehicle. The vehicle’s operator was evaluated on scene and refused additional medical treatment.
Both lanes of traffic were closed during the incident and traffic was rerouted. Once the vehicle was removed, firefighters worked to clean a large fuel spill and sweep accident debris off the roadway.
Connecticut State Police are investigating.
