HHS Presents “Hooray for Herbs!” for Kids on April 10th

Submitted by Haddam Historical Society

(March 28, 2024) — Kids! Join the Haddam Historical Society on April 10, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to learn about the herbs that Thankful Arnold and her family used in the early 19th century for cooking, cleaning and medicinal reasons.

Participants will plant some seedlings and seeds to take home and grow. The program will take place at the Thankful Arnold House Museum, 14 Hayden Hill Road in Haddam.

This program is one of our Kids Membership activities scheduled for 2024. Click here for other programs and more about the Kids Membership. For additional information contact us at contact@haddamhistory.org or call 860-345-2400.

Kids Membership annual dues are only $10 and allow free admission to one of our scheduled programs, along with a 50% discount on all of the others—a value of $20 or more! You also get advance notice of special events and the opportunity to sign up first for youth programming prior to the public registration period.

All youth programs are open to the public; non-members pay $10 per event. A kid membership is valid for exactly one child, as named on the form, and is not eligible to be transferred or shared.

Kid Membership benefits are included in the Family Supporter and above ($30+ per year) membership categories of the Haddam Historical Society. At the Family Supporter and above levels of membership, ALL children living in the same household as the named member are eligible for Kid Membership benefits.
