(March 4, 2024) — Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle accident at 11:25 a.m. on March 3, 2024 on Candlewood Hill Road.
A driver heading southwest on Candlewood Hill struck and became entangled in a wire guardrail on top of a culvert. The driver self-extricated and was evaluated on scene by Haddam Volunteer Ambulance Service, Inc. personnel before being transferred to Middlesex Hospital.
New Image Auto was able to remove the vehicle without any fluids leaking into the waterway.
The incident is under investigation by the Connecticut State Police.
