2026 Midterm Election Notice for Haddam Voters

(September 30, 2026) — Haddam’s next voting session is the Connecticut State Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.  Haddam voters will vote for Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Representative in Congress, State Senator, State Representative, Secretary of the State, Treasurer, Comptroller, Attorney General and Judge of Probate.

Election Day:  The polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The three polling places are:

*Curbside voting is available for voters with a disability

Registration Sessions and Deadlines:

October 16, 2026 – 9:00a.m. to 8:00 p.m. – All-day registration and in-person, mail-in and online cut-off to register for the November 3, 2026 State Election – Cutoff is 8:00 p.m. for in-person, 11:59 p.m. for online (a DMV license is required), and mail-in registration must be postmarked by October 16, 2026.

November 2, 2026 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Limited Registration Session to admit those seeking to vote in the election whose qualification as to age, citizenship or residence was attained after October 16, 2026.

The above sessions will be held at the Registrar of Voters Office, Haddam Firehouse, 439 Saybrook Road, Higganum, CT 06441

Voters may register to vote by mail and online until October 16, 2026 and in-person during Early Voting.

EARLY VOTING and SAME DAY REGISTRATION DATES AND TIMES:

October 19, 2026 thru November 1, 2026 – Each Day from 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Except October 27, 2026 and October 29, 2026 when the hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., ONLY at the Haddam Firehouse Complex, 439 Saybrook Road (Route 154) Higganum, CT 06441

Absentee ballot applications will be available on October 2, 2026 at the Office of the Haddam Town Clerk, 30 Field Park Drive, Haddam, CT 06438. Hours as follows:

Monday – Wednesday  8:30 a.m. to  4:00 p.m.

Thursday      8:30 a.m. to  6:00 p.m.

Friday            8:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon
