(September 29, 2026 )— On a very rainy day at the Forge in Middletown, the Haddam Killingworth High School Boys Soccer team had an explosive offensive display as they defeated a tough Coginchaug squad, 6-0. Once again, the Cougars started out quickly with two goals in the first fifteen minutes.
Tristin Edwards put in the first goal on a pass from Nolan Sheppard, then Nolan put in the second goal off a free kick that landed in the box for him to collect. Freshman Stratti Dhembi scored number three on a cross from the corner by Tristin. Stratti then set up midfielder Luca Piacenti for number four in the 50th minute. Later in the second half, sophomore Leart Krasnicki had a breakaway to score number five, and Carter Bruno rounded out the scoring with a corner kick from Wyatt Boothroyd.
The Cougars go to Middletown on September 30, 2026, and are home on October 1, 2026 against Old Lyme for their third game of this week.
