(September 17, 2026)— The Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Soccer team won their third straight game, beating North Branford 9-0 on September 16, 2026. The visitors came with only 12 players due to injuries, including to their starting goalkeeper, and lost another player due to injury in the first half. HKHS scored early and often, putting the game out of reach in the first fifteen minutes. Six Cougars players combined for the nine goals listed below:
1st – Gavin Orlando in the 11th minute.
2nd & 3rd – Tristin Edwards in the 13th & 14th minutes.
4th – Luca Piacenti in the 15th minute
5th & 6th – Ben Murphy at 30th & 35th minutes.
7th – Tristin gets his hat trick in 36th minute.
8th – Nolan Sheppard in the 38th minute.
9th – Carter Commerford at 2 minutes before halftime.
HKHS substitute players got into the game for twenty minutes of the first half and played the entire second half, scoring on a headed ball from a corner cross. They continued to dominate North Branford all over the field.
The team’s next game will be on Friday September 18, 2026 at Cromwell.
