UCCHH Hosts Charity Golf Tournament September 20th

(September 2, 2026) — The United Congregational Church of Haddam and Higganum’s 14th Annual Ron Booth Mission Golf Outing is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026 at the Player Course at Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middlefield. This is an all-day event starting with a Golf Scramble at 9:30 a.m., which includes lunch on the course. Following the golf outing, there will be an outdoor dinner at the beautiful home of Dan and Sue Gascoyne in Higganum, overlooking the Connecticut River, featuring live music and a steak dinner. Awards will be presented following the dinner in several golf categories. A basket raffle with more than fifty wonderful, donated prizes will then await the lucky winners.

The proceeds benefit the many mission and outreach projects that the UCCHH sponsors. In addition, a $1000 donation to the First Tee of Connecticut in Ron Booth’s name will be presented. First Tee, which was chosen by Ron’s family, was created to expose underprivileged youth, who might not normally have access, to the game of golf. Both the golf tournament and the dinner and raffle are open to the community. Golf entries are still available, as are dinner-only reservations.

Further information is available on the UCCHH website (https://haddamchurch.org/events/ron-booth-mission-golf-outing-3/) or by calling Greg Shields at 860-918-7163.
