(July 10, 2026) — Protectors of Animals welcomes the magical Merlin! He may not have a magic wand, but he sure has a magical personality that will win you over at first glance. This handsome guy is an eight-month-old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix currently weighing thirty-four pounds. He will reach around forty-five pounds as an adult.
Merlin has the most loving, caring, and social personality you will ever meet. When you meet him, you will want to throw your arms around him and just hug and kiss that irresistibly handsome face.
He has a high-energy drive, with a working breed background, so a home that understands that will need to be able to provide exercise like walking, running, hiking, fetch the ball. You get it: normal activities that any normal dog would need regardless of the age. He loves being around people and receiving all the attention he can get.
Merlin has great potential to be a scholar. He is extremely intelligent and receptive to training. He is a blast to hang out with. This guy loves food and toys as well. He likes other dogs, so if he were in a home with another dog similar to his size, he would be a great addition to any family. An adult home is preferred, but older, respectful teenagers are fine too.
