Killingworth Voter Information on School Budget Referendum July 15th

(July 4, 2026) — The Electors of the Town of Killingworth and all those qualified to vote at Town Meetings are hereby notified  to meet at the polling place on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, to cast their votes on the Regional School District 17 Budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026. A copy of the proposed budget recommended for adoption by the district Board of Education is on file in the Killingworth Town Clerk’s Office.

The Regional School District Board of Education will set the hours of voting at the Annual District Meeting to be held on July 14, 2026.  Per C.G.S. 7-7, the polls must be open from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.  The Annual District Meeting will hold a vote to open the polls at 6:00 a.m.

Killingworth Elementary School, 340 Route 81, Killingworth.

The vote on the budget will be a Yes/No vote. Voting tabulators will be used. Absentee ballots are available at the Office of the Killingworth Town Clerk and will be counted at the polls. Please contact the Town Clerk at 860-663-1765 ext. 502 for further information.
