Haddam PZC to Hold Public Hearing July 2nd

Submitted by Town of Haddam

(June 26, 2026) — The Haddam Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on July 2, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. on a proposal that would amend zoning regulations for private schools and similar educational or therapeutic facilities in the R-2 and R-2A districts. The special permit application seeks to reduce the minimum lot size requirement from five acres to three acres and increase the maximum allowable impervious surface coverage to 30% for 1143 Saybrook Road in Haddam. All existing requirements related to building setbacks, height limits, buffering, screening, parking and site plan review would remain unchanged. The PZC meeting will be held at Old Town Hall, 30 Field Park Drive in Haddam.
