Parking at Higganum Cove Restricted to Town Residents Only

Submitted by Town of Haddam
(June 4, 2026) — Due to excessive use and environmental damage at Higganum Cove, parking at the park for the Summer of 2026 will be reserved for town residents at the lot on Dublin Hill Road. Parking will no longer be allowed on Depot Road.
If you have a Haddam Transfer Station sticker on your car, that is evidence that you are a town resident. If you don’t have a Transfer Station sticker on your car, you can pick up a free sticker at the Haddam Town Clerk’s office. It will show that you are a town resident.
Cars without stickers that are parked at the site are at risk of being towed. This change is necessary due to excessive environmental damage, littering, and other problems at Higganum Cove in recent years.
