(May 6, 2026) — The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2026 Side Street to Main Street Minority Business “Know-How” Program.Business Know-How,” designed and specifically targeted to assist minority small business owners or those learning how to start a business, consists of four intensive entrepreneurial sessions over a nine-week period and is offered free of charge to eligible participants.

Participants in the “Business Know-How” Program learn a variety of business-related skills from both the program’s expert facilitator/instructor, James Jackson, The Essex Group, and through group discussions of the homework assignments. Class sessions are scheduled on Tuesday evenings from 6:15 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on the following dates: May 19 – June 2/June 16/ June 30 with a Certificate of Completion Ceremony on July 7, 2026.

Funded by a generous grant from Eversource Energy, “Business Know-How” is designed and specifically targeted to assist, motivate, and prepare minority small business owners, or those learning how to start a business in Middlesex County and surrounding areas within the Eversource Energy footprint. It has been a most successful and effective way in which we have encouraged the development and growth of small, minority-owned businesses that are now part of the business community.
