Haddam to Hold Special Town Meeting April 29th

(April 23, 2026) — The electors and citizens qualified to vote at Town Meetings are hereby notified that a Special Town Meeting will be held at the HVFC Firehouse Community Hall located at 439 Saybrook Road in Higganum on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. for the following purposes:

  1. To Choose a Moderator to preside over such meeting and to consider and act upon the following:

2. To consider and approve an Ordinance authorizing the sale of 61 Silver Springs Drive and 195 Silver Springs Drive to Accent Properties, LLC for $40,000, which proposed ordinance is on file with the Town Clerk’s office; and

3. A Resolution to approve the acceptance of a grant from the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development under the Municipal Brownfield Grant Program for $900,000 for the Scovil Mill Project; and

4. To do any and all things legal and necessary to accomplish the above-named purposes and to take any other action that may legally and properly come before the meeting.

  1. Will seniors be required to pay the additional full fee as well for mattresses stoves and refrigerators? Or will that be reduced as well?
