KWO Hosts Town-Wide Tag Sale (And More!) May 9th

Submitted by Jessie D’Amato Ford

(April 13, 2026) — On May 9, 2026 the Killingworth Women’s Organization (KWO) will be hosting a town-wide tag sale. This is your chance to be on the buying side, the selling side, or both! The tag sale is a yearly event organized to raise money for the KWO Scholarship Fund. There are two ways to participate:

  1. Have a tag sale at your house. Add your address to the Killingworth Town-Wide Tag Sale Map and get an official tag sale identifier for your location! The map will be distributed at the KWO table in the Courtyard at 176 Route 81 in Killingworth. Register your location by May 1, 2026 to be on the map!
  2. Have a table. Set up a table in the Courtyard at 176 Route 81 in Killingworth and sell your items. You must bring a table and tent and monitor your own space. Set up starts at 8:00 a.m.

Your earnings are yours. Courtyard tables are limited to the first fifteen people who register. Only $25 to participate and that fee goes directly to the KWO Scholarship Fund. Sign up here: https://www.kwoct.org/kwo-tag-sale/

Snag-A-Bag Details

The KWO Scholarship Committee will be sponsoring a fundraising event called Snag-A-Bag.  They have been collecting used (or new and no longer wanted) bags (purses, fanny packs, duffle bags, tote bags, etc.), and will be reselling them at a fraction of the price.  No item will be more than $15.00.  The first event will be at the town-wide tag sale on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Snag-A-Bag will be set up at the Courtyard at 176 Route 81. Stop by and see what you can find! All proceeds benefit the KWO Scholarship Fund.

KWO Juniorettes Thrift Shop Details

The KWO Juniorettes are kicking off their very first clothing drive! Bins will be located at Haddam-Killingworth High School, Killingworth Library, and Barrel House. On May 9, 2026 the donations will be sold during the tag sale at the AristoKraft Kitchen event space on Route 81. 50% of the profits will go to breast cancer patients at After The Storm.

May 9th will be a busy day in Killingworth, so sign up to take part in the tag sale, drop some clothes off for the Juniorettes Thrift Shop, or save the date to shop for some amazing deals for a good cause!
