(April 10, 2026) — When leading conservationists team up with a talented documentary film-maker, the result brings Earth Day home to you! The Extraordinary Caterpillar, a one-hour film made in cooperation with Home Grown National Parks, explores the surprising roles played by these tiny creatures, and your role in protecting their world. Did you know caterpillars, together with other soft-bodied insects, are the primary food of baby birds?
The film is a joint presentation of Brainerd Memorial Library and the Haddam Garden Club. Come watch it on Earth Day, April 22, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. or catch one of two showings that will be presented at the BML Ag Day event on May 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. and again at 12:00 Noon. Brainerd Memorial Library is located at 920 Saybrook Road in Haddam.
