(April 3, 2026) — My name is Elmer. No relation to Elmer Fudd. I have more fur and am better looking, by far! I am a Lab/Hound Mix, only nine years old. I am a medium-sized boy who has a big heart and a smile that could get me a contract with Smile Actives as their new mascot!
Everyone who volunteers at Protector of Animals shelter absolutely loves me and I love being around them. I am so easygoing and just want to hang out with you, whether it’s for a long walk, a hike, watching a good TV show, or just being your best bud! I’m just one happy-go-lucky guy who wants to go home to a place that’s calm and loving.
I have so much love to give and I want my very own person, and that’s all. I would really like to be the only pet, if that’s okay. I like to feel very Zen and wish to have my own space for meditational work.
Another thing… Just because I’m a nine-year-old dog, doesn’t mean I’m old. I can keep up with all of you, and then some. I will not disappoint by any means. I have been waiting so very patiently for someone to give me a chance to love and be loved. Spread the word about me to family and friends everywhere.
