(March 21, 2026) — The Haddam Sustainability Committee will host a very special event on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Gail Kalison Reynolds will present an educational session entitled, “Composting in a World of Solid Waste” at 5:00 p.m. at the Old Town Hall, 21 Field Park Drive in Haddam. The public is invited and light refreshments will be served. The Sustainability Committee’s regular business meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m. Take this time to learn how you can create compost in your yard.
Gail Kalison Reynolds worked for the UConn Extension Center as Master Gardener and Master Composter Coordinator and field researcher of biological controls. She holds a B.S. in biology from Yale College, a Master of Forest Science degree from Yale School of the Environment, and five information security certifications. Gail serves as an officer or director for many non-profit organizations, including the Haddam Land Trust, the Lower Connecticut River Land Trust, the Haddam Conservation Commission, the Haddam Inland Wetlands Commission, the Haddam Sustainability Committee, the Salmon River Committee, the Lower Connecticut River Gateway Commission, the Connecticut Botanical Society, and the Mountain Laurel Chapter of Wild Ones. She and her husband co-own Reynolds Forestry Services, LLC.
