Boys Basketball 2026: HKHS Downs Old Saybrook in Conference Quarterfinals

(March 13, 2026) — On February 26, 2026 the Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Basketball team defeated the Old Saybrook Rams 68-56 in the quarterfinals of the Shoreline Conference Playoffs.

The Cougars were led by Senior co-captain Declan Moriarty, who had 15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and 4 assists. Senior co-captain Jay Evans had 13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Also contributing for the Cougars the Junior duo of Brody Ferguson and Mason Eighmy with 15 and 14 points, respectively while Junior Kody Lehet continued his stellar defense, pulling down 7 rebounds and contributing 4 points. Junior Noah Marica had 5 points and 5 rebounds, while Senior powerhouse Spencer Savoy had 4 points and 4 rebounds. It was a sound win for the Cougars as they head to the semi-finals to face Cromwell.
