(March 13, 2026) — As part of our remodel, Brainerd Memorial Library is now featuring an art gallery wall on the main floor. Our current show features local artist Phil Barlow. He is a retired landscape architect working in watercolors, creating quick, loose sketches that allow the viewer to fill in with their own imaginations. His show will be up until April 25, 2026.
On Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. the Friends of the Library will be hosting a reception for artists from Haddam-Killingworth High School. Their show will be there for one week. Stop by and see the budding artists who live in our town.
In May, the library will host “Thinking Outside the Box.” This event is open to local artists as a group show. Submittals are due in by April 10, 2026.
