Commonwealth Senior Living Hosts “Butter Bread” Fundraiser

(January 21, 2026) — The Butter Braid Fundraiser is back! Once again Commonwealth Senior Living in Haddam will be hosting this popular event. Easter is right around the corner, and these items make tasty holiday treats. Purchased frozen and ready to bake, they are perfect for holiday plans or last-minute drop-in visitors. The cost is $18 per item. Flavors include Strawberry Cream Cheese, Cinnamon, Apple, Blueberry Cream Cheese, Raspberry, and Bavarian Creme. In addition, you can order Cinnamon Rolls, and Cookie Dough.

Each box of cookie dough is 2.5 lbs. and contains 36 individual cookies. The cost per box is $20, and the flavors include Chocolate Chip, White Macadamia Nut, Oatmeal Raisin, Peanut Butter or Triple Chocolate. This year we are also selling the popular Joyful Traditions Cake Rolls for $18 per cake.  The flavors are Pumpkin, Chocolate Creme, Red Velvet, Strawberry Cheesecake, Lemon or Carrot Cake Roll.

Ordering kicks off on February 6, 2026, with a deadline of March 6, 2026. The pickup date at Commonwealth Senior Living is March 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Please pay at the time of ordering by cash or check, made out to Commonwealth Cares.

This fundraiser is in support of Commonwealth Cares, Inc., a fund established company wide, which is dedicated to changing the lives of Commonwealth associates who work hard to change the lives of seniors every day. The money being raised assists any employee who has an unexpected life event or hardship. Commonwealth Cares is there to assist its workers financially.
