Eversource Receives 2025 HIRE Veterans Medallion Award

(November 29, 2025) — In recognition of its dedication to recruiting, employing and retaining veterans, the U.S. Department of Labor has once again awarded Eversource Energy the prestigious HIRE Vets Medallion Award for 2025. As the only federal level program recognizing exceptional achievements in veteran hiring, this award is a testament to the energy company’s unwavering support for veterans in the workplace and efforts to advance their professional development by building on the unique skills they acquired through their military service.

“I’m extremely proud to be part of an organization that deeply values our veterans and the tremendous contributions they made in service to our country, and now make to our company,” said Eversource Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Information Technology Susan Sgroi. “More than 800 veterans representing all branches of the U.S. military work at Eversource, and every day we see how their strong leadership, work ethic and specialized skills directly complement our mission of providing safe, reliable energy to millions of customers across our three-state service territory. It’s a great honor to be recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor for six consecutive years for our support of veterans in the workplace, and we hope that by fostering an empowering culture for active-duty and former military members, we can continue to show just how much we appreciate them and all they’ve done for their fellow Americans.”

Eversource achieved the distinguished HIRE Vets Medallion Award by meeting robust employment and veteran assistance criteria, including veteran hiring and retention percentages, as well as availability of veteran-specific resources such as a dedicated business resource group or association. Earlier this year, Eversource also was honored by VETS Indexes with its Three-Star Employer Award, highlighting the energy company’s continued progress in recruiting, retaining, developing and supporting those who have served.
