Higganum Yuletide Marketplace Opens November 14th in New Location

Submitted by Janet Verney

(November 9, 2025) — The beloved Higganum Yuletide Marketplace returns for its seventh season, welcoming holiday shoppers to a festive showcase of more than forty local artisans at its new location in St. James Parish Hall, Route 81, Higganum.

Founded in 2018 by Janet Verney, the marketplace has become a cherished annual tradition, running every year except 2020. Now under the dedicated leadership of Kristy Amarante, this year’s event promises the same warmth, creativity and community spirit that has drawn thousands of visitors since its inception.

“This market is more than shopping. It’s a celebration of local talent and togetherness,” said Janet Verney, founder. “Seeing it grow and thrive, even through change, is incredibly rewarding. The new space at St. James allows us to continue that magic in a cozy, welcoming setting.”

Open for four consecutive weekends, the marketplace features all hand-crafted goods, from one-of-a-kind jewelry and home décor to seasonal treats, artwork and gifts—offering a huge variety of unique, locally-made treasures.
