Football 2025: HKHS Defeats Morgan Co-Op 20-13

By Barth Keck, HKHS Assistant Football Coach
(October 24, 2025) — In a game played on October 10, 2025, the Haddam-Killingworth High School football team (3-2) broke a two-game losing streak on the strength of two Jamien Evans touchdown passes: a 27-yard bomb to Axel Kolcio and a 7-yard toss to Tyler Napierkowski. John Moyher also scored for the Cougars on a six-yard fumble recovery.
Morgan/Old Saybrook/Westbrook did not go quietly. Huskies quarterback Trevor Powell led his team down the field with under three minutes remaining and scored on a two-yard dive with under a minute to go to close the gap to one score. The comeback attempt would end there, however, as HKHS recovered the subsequent onside kick to secure the victory.
