Election 2025: RSD 17 Board of Education Candidate Matt Nunzianto (Killingworth)

Editor’s Note: HK-Now.com and Haddam Killingworth News asked candidates for the Regional School District 17 Board of Education to provide brief biographies as a way of introducing themselves to voters. The statement below is from Matt Nunzianto, who is running for BOE from Killingworth. The candidate’s reply is unchanged from the original as submitted. HK-Now.com and Haddam Killingworth News are not responsible for errors in grammar, usage, punctuation or spelling.

My name is Matt Nunzianto and I am a candidate for the Board of Education.  My wife and I have been residents of Killingworth for 10 years. We have two school age children who both attend the RSD17 school district at HKIS and KES. My family and I love the Killingworth community and enjoy watching our children play outside in the woods any chance they get.  Living in a rural town gives my family many encouraging opportunities for being outdoors.

I have been a contractor and business owner (Nunzianto Construction LLC) for over twenty years.  Construction has always been part of my life. I grew up with family members having their own construction business and started working for them at a young age.  I like making my clients’ visions reality.

For enjoyment, my family and I love to ski and will head to Vermont any chance we get.  I enjoy spending time with my family.  In my spare time I also like to take part in town committee meetings. I feel it is very important to be an involved community member and to give back as much as I can to the community.
