Hello, my name is Eric Couture, and it has been my honor to serve as First Selectman in Killingworth for the last two years.
This year I’m running for reelection as First Selectman because I believe there is still work to be done to move our town into the 21st century. That work will require us to be adaptive and thoughtful in how we address the issues coming our way, while not losing what we love about Killingworth.
Top of the list is addressing affordability, especially for younger families and seniors. This will require appropriate development for our town, working with partners in our region and the state to meet the needs of our community in a sustainable fashion. And it will take patience and consensus to make sure that we have plans that meet our needs and fit the community we love and cherish. But if we do not adapt, we put our fate in others’ hands.
I believe that when we cooperate and engage respectfully with one another we achieve the best results in our community. I’ve tried my best to bring that ethos to Town Hall, and I ask for your support again in this municipal election.
