(September 16, 2025) — Sacred Heart on the Lake Retreat Center in Higganum will present an “Art and Spirituality” Retreat on October 18, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Well-known local artist Ed Rosado will team with Sr. Lany Jo Smith to teach and demonstrate the ways that art can be a segue into prayerful meditation and contemplation. This retreat is for those who already have some background in art, and will feature the use of pastels in creating landscapes, with a focus on the scenic lake and grounds of the Retreat Center.
Mr. Rosado will offer artistic critiques and pointers, while Sr. Lany Jo will offer guidance for prayerfully focusing on our Creator dwelling within us, allowing us to create with Him. Please bring your own lunch and art supplies. Coffee, tea and other hot and cold beverages will be provided.
