Submitted by Killingworth Board of Assessment Appeals

(September 11, 2025) — All owners of motor vehicles registered in the town of Killingworth are hereby notified that the Board of Assessment Appeals will meet in open session on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Killingworth Town Hall, 323 Route 81, Killingworth beginning at 6:00 p.m., for the sole purpose of hearing appeals related to the assessment of motor vehicles on the October 1, 2024 Grand List.

Appellants, or duly authorized representatives, must appear in person.  There are no advanced appointments. The session is walk-ins only.  Appeals will be heard in order of arrival.

Commencing with the October 1, 2024 Grand List, taxpayers may appeal only the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) used to assess a motor vehicle.  The Board can no longer hear appeals based on mileage or body condition, as the valuation methodology has changed.
