(August 12, 2025) — The Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut, in partnership with Wesleyan University and the Center for Children’s Advocacy, will present Bright Futures, a free educational day camp designed especially for families of children living with epilepsy, on September 20, 2025 at Wesleyan University in Middletown.

Bright Futures provides a safe, supportive and engaging environment for families to learn, connect and grow together. Parents and caregivers will gain valuable insights from expert-led sessions on:

  • Educational rights under IDEA and the ADA

  • The latest in epilepsy research and treatment

  • Navigating school systems and advocating for your child

While adults are learning, children will enjoy inclusive and interactive art and music therapy, led by professionals from Infinity Music Therapy Services—designed for all ages and abilities.

“This event is about empowering families with both knowledge and community,” said James Hart, EFCT’s Executive Director. “We want families to leave feeling more confident, more connected, and better equipped to support their child’s journey with epilepsy.”
