Three Longtime Essex Savings Bank Employees Take a Step Up

(August 8, 2025) — Bank mainstays Elizabeth Kuhns, Diane Riggio and Brenda Kim
have earned promotions in their respective departments at Essex Savings Bank.

Elizabeth Kuhns has been promoted from Assistant Vice President, Human Resources Manager, Marketing Officer and Assistant Corporate Secretary to Vice President while retaining her current responsibilities. Now the head of Marketing and Human Resources, Ms. Kuhns started at Essex Savings Bank in 2014 as a Marketing and Administrative Assistant. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University and is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management. Ms. Kuhns serves
on the Community Foundation of Middlesex County’s Development Committee. She resides in East Lyme.

 

Diane Riggio has been promoted from Assistant Treasurer/Loan Origination Supervisor to Assistant Vice President/Residential Loan Officer. Diane began her time at Essex Savings Bank as a Residential Lending Underwriter in 2014 and was promoted to a supervisory role shortly thereafter. Ms. Riggio oversaw the residential lending functions and staff within the Bank’s loan administration department. She resides in Ivoryton.

 

Brenda Kim advances from Assistant Secretary/Estate & Trust Administration Officer to Assistant Vice President/Estate & Trust Administration Officer. Ms. Kim works closely with clients and their trusted advisors on complex trust administration and estate settlement matters. She has been with Essex Savings since 2001 and Essex Trust since 2016. Ms. Kim is on the board of the Estate and Tax Planning Council of Eastern Connecticut and volunteers her time with several other local non-profit organizations. She resides in North Stonington.

President and CEO Diane Arnold comments, “These are well-deserved promotions for Brenda, Liz and Diane. I have no doubt that these three will continue their excellent work in their new roles.”
