The KWO Scholarship Committee was impressed with Jayani’s essay about how volunteering as a counselor-in-training with Bushy Hill Day Camp gave her a greater sense of community and how she was able to make children of all ages feel welcome and create strong friendship bonds. She especially impressed the scholarship committee with her letters of recommendation, commending her for her resilience, work ethic, and growth as a student and person. We wish her all the best on this exciting new chapter!
