(July 10, 2025) — Congratulations to Firefighters John Boothroyd and Ron Annino! This month, John is celebrating his 45th year, and Ron his 55th year as members of the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company.
John (photo above) joined the company in 1980 and was promoted to the rank of Firefighter on July 6, 1981. He has served as captain, fire police, equipment secretary, representative to the Board of Directors and as a member of the Water Resource Committee. He remains one of the company’s most reliable apparatus drivers.
Ron (photo above) joined the company in 1970 and was promoted to the rank of Firefighter on July 6, 1971. He has served as captain, 3rd assistant chief, and as a member of the Grievance Committee, Water Resource Committee, and Christmas Committee. Ron was named “Firefighter of the Year” in 2012.
HVFC Chief Sam Baber presented John and Ron with their years-of-service pins on July 7, 2025. Please join us in congratulating these gentlemen for their combined nearly 100 years of service to the town of Haddam.
