(June 10, 2025) — On May 31, 2025, artist, author and photographer Christina E. Cole presented her latest book, Connecticut: Quaint, Historic Barns and Farms of the Nutmeg State, at a book-signing event held at Halfinger Farms in Higganum.
During the event, Christina recounted her time living and photographing in Killingworth, describing it as an “untouched nook of Connecticut.” While living there, Christina worked to promote the town through her photographs and her media contacts. Several Killingworth farms are listed in the book, including Parmelee Farm, which was a favorite photography location of Christina’s. Other local farms mentioned include Dancing Daffodils, Running Brook Farm, New England Alpacas, and Sweet William Farm. With a forward by award winning Connecticut photojournalist Lori Golias, the just-released book is a fantastic flip through agricultural Connecticut.
