Haddam Town Clerk Announces Online Dog Licensing Process

Submitted by Bob Siegrist, Haddam Town Clerk

(May 30, 2025) —  The Haddam Town Clerk’s office has announced the launch of a new online platform, ClerkXpress (developed by [s]Cube), for dog licensing for residents. Effective June 1, 2025, Haddam residents will have the opportunity to manage registration and renewals for their dogs via their smartphones and computers, versus handling the process in person or by mail.

“We’re very excited to launch ClerkXpress in Haddam, as we continue to expand our services and solutions throughout Connecticut,” said Haileab Samuel, CEO of [s]Cube. “This fully automated online platform will make it much easier for residents to register their dogs, renew existing dog licenses and provide efficiency and savings for the Town Clerk’s office.”

The Haddam Town Clerk is now offering online dog licensing for residents’ convenience. There is a $5.00 fee for those who would like to take advantage of licensing online, but signing up and managing your account is free.

“The Haddam Town Clerk’s office continues to offer more online options for residents in keeping with its goal of maintaining cost-effective government,” said Town Clerk Bob Siegrist. “The town hopes that with the availability and ease of use of ClerkXpress, it will help increase dog registrations in Haddam so that more residents are compliant with state law.”

ClerkXpress Features:

  • Empowers residents with 24/7 online access.
  • Quick updates for any changes in address, contact details, or dog’s information.
  • Residents can view license details, download digital copies, and request updates on license approval status directly.
  • Keeps dog veterinary records updated and accessible for town licensing and health requirements.
  • Facilitates quick identification and return of lost pets, contributing to community safety and reducing the burden on local animal control resources.
  • Ability to inform firefighters of how many dogs are in a household.
