Haddam Annual Budget Meeting and Special Meeting May 21st

(May 16, 2025) — The Town of Haddam Annual Budget Meeting and a Special Town Meeting will be held at the Haddam Fire Station #1, 439 Saybrook Road in Higganum on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. for the following purpose:
1. To elect a Moderator
2. To consider and vote on the July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026 Capital Budget Totaling $2,379,138 (project authorizations).
3. To consider and vote on the July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026 Annual Budget recommended by the Board of Finance totaling $ 39,925,124
4. To review and act upon the Board of Selectmen’s proposal to have the Town of Haddam join the Estuary Transit District.
5. To review and act upon the following question: “Shall the Town adopt the Proposed Resolution and Ordinance to repeal Article IV Long-Range Capital Planning Committee, §§ 45-14 through 45-18 inclusive, of the Town of Haddam Code of Ordinances, Yes or No?”
6. To transfer “Shopboard Rock” property, Boulder Dell Road, 9.49 acres, Parcel ID 05-059B to Haddam Land Trust, Inc., for the purpose of conservation.
7. To do any and all things legal and necessary to accomplish the above-named purposes and take any other action that may legally and properly come before the meeting.
