(May 5, 2025) — The Haddam Neck Cemetery Association will hold an early Memorial Day event on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at our Rock Landing Cemetery.
The Moodus Drum and Fife Corps will play patriotic songs, and new flags will be placed on the graves of all veterans interred in our cemetery. A veteran will speak on his thoughts of Memorial Day. The names of our veterans will be read, and “Taps” will be played by local high school talent. Children are encouraged to decorate their bikes or wagons for cash prizes. Ice cream and cookies are donated by and served by the Haddam Neck Fair. The Cemetery has had a Memorial Day event for more than 100 years.
