(May 1, 2025) — On April 29, 2025, the Haddam Killingworth High School Boys and Girls Track teams continued their season as they traveled to Old Lyme to compete in a tri-meet against Westbrook and Lyme-Old Lyme.
The Boys team defeated Westbrook by a score of 125-21 and Lyme-Old Lyme by a score of 111-35 to improve their dual meet record to 4-0 on the season. Leading the way for the Cougars were the following event winners: Eli Hamann-Shay 200 (23.2), Jack Cozean 800 (2:13) and 1600 (4:45), Alex Fredericksen 3200 (10:44), Wes Stevens 110 hurdles (17.6), Tim Cavrell javelin (164’11”), Cody Robinson high jump (5’4″) and long jump (18’5″) and triple jump (38’0″), Koen Thomen pole vault (11’1″). The Boys team also won the 4×800 and 4×400 relays.
The HKHS Girls Track team went 2-0 on the day as they defeated Westbrook by a score of 109-39 and beat Lyme-Old Lyme by a score of 75-64. Leading the way for the Cougars were the following event winners: Julia Downing 1600 (5:44), Charlotte Behnke 3200 (11:37), Delaney Aronson 100 hurdles (18.2), Margaret Robinson, javelin (80’2″), Della Krete Cacase high jump (4’8″), Celia Huebner and Taylor Prue pole vault (6’0″). The Girls 4×800 relay team was also victorious on the afternoon to contribute team points.
The teams will next be in action on Tuesday May 6, 2025 when they travel to Valley Regional High School to compete in a tri-meet against Morgan and Valley.
