HKHS Girls Lacrosse Team Sponsors Fundraiser

Submitted by Janice Calvi-Ruimerman

(May 1, 2025) — The Haddam-Killingworth High School Girls Lacrosse Team does not just play on the field. They also give back.

Through a fundraiser on behalf of the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA), the HKHS team is hosting an online donation page and dedicating their May 1, 2025 game to Brain Tumor Awareness in support of the great work of the ABTA. May is Brain Tumor Awareness month, and in a sign of solidarity and support, we grayed out the stands.

All proceeds collected through charitable donations will benefit the ABTA to advance brain tumor research and offer essential support resources to patients and caregivers. For more information on donations, visit:   https://give.abta.org/fundraiser/6112074

Founded in 1973, ABTA was the first national nonprofit organization dedicated solely to brain tumors. For 52 years, ABTA has been providing comprehensive resources that support the complex needs of brain tumor patients and caregivers, as well as the critical funding of research in the pursuit of breakthroughs in brain tumor diagnosis, treatment and care.
