(April 25, 2025) — The Haddam-Killingworth High School Softball team defeated Coginchaug 9-0 on April 24, 2025 in Higganum. Pitcher Emma Giaccone picked up her fourth win of the season with the shutout. She allowed four hits while striking out seven.
The HKHS offense was lead by Hannah Reilly, who was three-for-three with a walk, two runs scored, an RBI and three stolen bases. Grace La Conte added a two-run single, while Caley Napoletano had a double, two runs scored and an RBI. HK is now 4-1 on the season and Coginchaug falls to 5-5. The Cougars’ next game is at Cromwell on April 29, 2025 at 3:45 p.m.
