KDTC Annual Bake Sale May 10th

Submitted by Kathleen Amoia

(April 14, 2025) — The Killingworth Democratic Town Committee will hold its Annual Bake Sale on Saturday, May 10  2025, at Recycle Way between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Among the treats on hand will be sourdough bread, fresh muffins, sticky buns and homemade preserves. There will be cookies, brownies, cakes, and more, all homemade and perfect for Mother’s Day.

For the past two years, the KDTC has donated half the proceeds from the Bake Sale to a Killingworth non-profit. The Haddam-Killingworth Backpack Program will receive the donation again this year. The Backpack Program provides non-perishable foods to our schoolchildren in need of weekend meals, and personal care items during the school year.

The timing of the KDTC Bake Sale is designed to provide an opportunity to give moms home-baked treats that they didn’t have to bake themselves. Of course, they also can be eaten in the car on the way home from the Transfer Station or the baseball field.
