Find a Fur Baby: Meet Butch!

Submitted by Judith Levin

(March 21, 2025) — Butch is in the building! Yes, that’s right. This handsome little lamb chop is an eight-year-old Chihuahua. It is sad that he came to Protectors of Animals as a neglected dog along with his three other housemates. Their names are: Snoopy, Dee Dee, and Honey. You can check them out by visiting their website. Copy and paste this link:  www.popainc.org into your browser and have a look.

Butch was emaciated, full of fleas, had major fur loss, and weighed only five pounds at the time. Today, after veterinary care, lots of good and nourishing food, plus TLC, TLC, and TLC, he has come a long way. His fur is growing back and he has gained two pounds. He loves those toasty, warm sweaters to keep him nice and warm, obtaining quite the collection, I must say.

He absolutely loves everyone and begs for attention. Butch loves being held and snuggled all the time. As stated, he has lived with the other three dogs, but is not a real fan of other male dogs, so Mr. Suave would not mind some ladies around him. Older children are good too.

He is working on his potty training and doing well. This guy is totally food-motivated, so he wants to learn. Not only that, he is also extremely intelligent.

Butch is ready to go to his forever home. For more info on this swanky little guy, please contact Tracey at tracey.d@poainc.org
