Town of Haddam Seeks Property for Town Garage

Submitted by Town of Haddam

(March 4, 2025) — The Town of Haddam Planning and Zoning Commission is seeking expressions of interest in the sale of privately-owned parcels of land to the Town for a new Town Garage.

The Town is seeking parcels in excess of four usable acres in size, generally level, with little to no inland wetlands and in close proximity and accessible to Route 154, Route 81 or Candlewood Hill Road.

The Town’s Consulting Engineer and the Planning and Zoning Commission will review all parcels and if a favorable parcel is identified, a negotiation will ensue to determine a purchase price based on appraisals. A purchase and sale agreement, subject to Town referendum approval, must be executed by August 1, 2025.

A letter of interest must be submitted to the Land Use office address below by March 30, 2025. Owner and address are sufficient but any other supporting information will aid in the process. Questions can be directed to townplanner@haddam.org
