Haddam Women’s Club Offers College Scholarship

Submitted by Tiffany Riggs
(March 2, 2025) — The Haddam Women’s Club is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the Amanda June Lisitano Memorial Scholarship, established in loving memory of Amanda Lisitano. This scholarship honors Amanda’s steadfast commitment to her community, her family, and her profession. As a lifelong resident of Haddam/Higganum, Amanda made a profound impact, touching the lives of countless individuals with her kindness, generosity, and dedication.
Amanda’s legacy is defined by selflessness and service. As a devoted preschool teacher in Hartford, a loving mother of three young children, and an active member of the Haddam Women’s Club, she exemplified compassion and generosity in all aspects of her life. Despite her own battles with cancer, Amanda’s spirit remained resilient, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
The Amanda June Lisitano Memorial Scholarship aims to perpetuate Amanda’s legacy of kindness and altruism. It is intended to support graduating high school seniors from Haddam, Higganum or Haddam Neck who embody Amanda’s spirit of giving back to their community and demonstrate a commitment to service.
Applications for the scholarship must be postmarked by April 25, 2025. Interested students can access the application form on the Haddam Women’s Club website or through Naviance. By applying for this scholarship, students not only honor Amanda’s memory but also help ensure her generous spirit continues to inspire others for years to come.
