(February 24, 2025) — On February 12, 2025, the Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Basketball fell to the Ellington Knights 81-44. The Knights, who are not in HKHS’s division, played a much different style of game and were able to outplay and outpace the Cougars after HK briefly took the lead in the first quarter.

HKHS was led by seniors Andrew Crayton and Cody Robinson with 15 and 9 points, respectively. Juniors Declan Moriarty and powerhouse Spencer Savoy each had 6 points while Crayton and Savoy led in rebounds with 5 and 3 apiece. Rounding out the scoring, senior Jake McKenzie, junior Jay Evans, and sophomore Mason Eighmy each contributed 2 points. Senior Joe Slane and sophomore Brody Ferguson also demonstrated rebounding strength under the boards.

The Cougars finish the season 10-10 and now prepare for the Shoreline Conference and state tournaments. Stay tuned for tournament playing times. See you on the Court.
