“All Things Killingworth” Schedules Town Picnic for October 4th

Submitted by Jessie Ford

(February 11, 2025) — Killingworth Women’s Organization volunteers running All Things Killingworth and the Deer Lake Outdoor Center team are gearing up for its second annual town picnic, set to take place on October 4, 2025. Building on the success of last year’s event, organizers aim to create an even larger celebration while keeping the focus on community spirit and local causes.

In 2024, picnic proceeds funded scholarships for Deer Lake day camp and donated supplies to a local women’s shelter. This year, organizers are calling on Killingworth nonprofits to apply to receive proceeds to support their vital work.

Barrelhouse is returning as a Diamond sponsor of the event’s beer garden, generously donating all proceeds. They also are seeking additional sponsors to help make this event a great success!

Volunteers are also in high demand to help with planning, set-up, and event-day activities. “This picnic wouldn’t happen without the incredible people of Killingworth,” organizers shared. “We’re excited to see what we can accomplish together this year.”
