Nathaniel B. Field Foundation Accepting Scholarship Applications

Submitted by Marie and Howie Field

(February 10, 2025) — The Nathaniel B. Field Memorial Foundation, Inc. is now accepting scholarship applications from Haddam-Killingworth High School seniors. Students continuing their education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), or mental health related studies will be considered for $1000 scholarships. Applications are available in the high school guidance counselor’s office. The application deadline is April 30, 2025.

Founded in 2015, the Nathaniel B. Field Memorial Foundation has turned a devastating event into a force for positive change. In addition to annual academic scholarships, one of the Foundation’s goals is to prevent suicide by funding a variety of public awareness and educational activities in our local schools and communities and to support organizations with similar goals. There is a tremendous need for mental health services including support groups to assist survivors by providing hope and the knowledge that they are not alone.

The mission of The Nathaniel B. Field Memorial Foundation, Inc. is to prevent suicide through public awareness and education, to reduce the stigma of mental illness, and to provide hope and support. For more information, please visit nathanielfield.org.
