Boys Basketball 2025: HKHS Defeats Route 81 Rival Morgan

(February 10, 2025) — On Friday February 7, 2025, the Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Basketball team defeated the Morgan Huskies 60 – 50, improving to 8-9 on the season and qualifying for States and Shorelines.

HKHS was led by seniors Andrew Crayton and Cody Robinson with 24 and 16 points respectively, and junior Declan Moriarty with 14 points. The Cougars maintained the lead the entire game, demonstrating impressive rebounding and continuity of play. Senior Jake McKenize was a key playmaker with 9 rebounds and 3 assists, while Crayton had 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Junior powerhouse Spencer Savoy had 6 rebounds and senior Joe Slane, and junior Jay Evans secured 4 rebounds each. Completing the scoring Savoy had 4 points and Evans chipped in with 2 points.

The Cougars played cohesively, and it was an important win solidifying an extension of the season. Next up for HKHS, North Branford at home on February 8, 2025. JV at 11:00 a.m., Varsity at 12:30 p.m. See you on the Court.
