(January 25, 2025) — As we’re nearing the end of January, tax season will be here before we know it. Free income tax assistance is available through the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services to have simple questions answered.
The DRS is open at 860-297-5962 weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is also the AARP’s Tax-Aide Program, which offers tax counseling and preparation services to middle- and low-income taxpayers with specific focus on people ages 60+ and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, which offers free tax help to people earning under $58,000 who need aid with their returns.
