Boys Basketball 2025: HKHS Defeats Westbrook

(January 24, 2025) — On January 21, 2025, the Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Basketball team defeated the Westbrook Knights. Player of the game accolades go to senior Joe Slane, who had a career-high 18 points. Slane also pulled down 4 rebounds, had 1 steal and 2 assists.

Other noteworthy performances included senior Andrew Crayton who had 22 points and 8 rebounds, and senior Cody Robinson who had 8 points and 3 assists. Junior Declan Moriarty chipped in with 5 points, secured 4 rebounds and had 2 assists, while junior Jay Evans added 7 points. HK’s sophomores also saw playing time, including Kody Lehet (10 points), Noah Marica (3 points), Brody Feguson (2 points) and Mason Eighmy (2 points) while freshman Peyton Esposito contributed 4 points. Senior Jake McKenzie and junior powerhouse Spencer Savoy continued to showcase smart play. Next up for the Cougars, Coginchaug at home on Friday January 24, 2025, JV at 5:30 p.m., Varsity at 7:00 p.m. It’s youth night. Let’s pack the Den. See you on the Court.
