Cody Robinson

(January 15, 2025) — On January 14, 2025, The Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Basketball team fell to the Portland Highlanders 51-49 in a game that saw multiple lead changes and tense fans. Senior Cody Robinson led all scorers with 17 points followed by Andrew Crayton with 12 and junior Jay Evans with 10.

The star of the game, however, was Senior Jake McKenzie who, along with Crayton, combined for 16 rebounds. McKenzie also had two steals and four critical blocks demonstrating the muscle, and showcasing the type of defense, that is imperative if HK plans to extend its season. McKenzie also chipped in 4 points. Rounding out the scoring, juniors Spencer Savoy and Declan Moriarty contributed 4 and 2 points, respectively.

Other noteworthy contributions included Crayton with 4 assists and Moriarty with 3, and powerhouse Savoy with 5 rebounds. HK looks to bounce back above .500 January 17, 2025 against defending Division Champions Old Lyme. JV at 5:30 p.m. and Varsity at 7:00 p.m. Let’s pack the Den. See you on the Court.
